Need computing help? You've come to the right place. The friendly student staff at Residential Computing are always ready and willing to answer your questions, provide technology support and services, and to give computing advice.
Contacting Us
RCC office hours: Visit RCC office hours at your unit's Academic Services Center. You can schedule an appointment, bring your laptop for on-the-spot troubleshooting, or get friendly computing advice from your RCCs.

Phone: Call us at 510-642-HELP weekdays from 9am-5pm with quick questions or to schedule an RCC appointment.
RCC appointments: Sign-in to our Online Helpdesk to schedule an in-room appointment with an RCC.
Need to activate your In-Room Connection?
If you've installed Be Secure so that your computer meets the campus-wide Minimum Security Standards, you're ready to activate your In-Room Connection. Before registering, you'll need to know a few basic things about your computer. You can consult our Get Connected site or if you need further assistance you can contact a friendly RCC.

Online Helpdesk
ResComp Helpdesk is your online portal to our services. From Helpdesk, you can:
- Check your bandwidth usage
- Register additional devices on our network
- View your print page status
- Schedule RCC appointments
To use Helpdesk, you must have a ResComp account and password. This is the same password you use to log into computers at your Academic Services Center. If you forgot or don't have your password, please visit your local Academic Services Center and a Computing Assistant will help you set a new one.
