About Residential Computing: Cal Connect Video

We take copyright seriously! Discouraging copyright infringement by students is one of our goals, so we would like to give credit where credit is due:

The animated segments for the Cal Connect Video were created by Jeremy Weinstein, and the Be Secure mascot concept was originally created by Alex Shen.

Several pieces of music in the video, including "Ready, Steady, Go" by Paul Oakenfold, "Music for Airports" by Brian Eno, and the 20/20 theme song, originally composed by Robert Arnold Israel, were used in clips shorter than 30 seconds and at a low quality setting. Educational institutions and governmental agencies are authorized by a separate copyright statute to publicly display and perform others' works in the course of teaching activities. The other music was found at the Royalty Free Music database at incompetech.com.

Images used in the video were found in the public domain, or were unlicensed, with the exception of logos from ABC Media Corporation, the 20/20 title card, the "24" title card, the Symantec and Windows Vista logo. The images were rendered in low resolution and used for parody.
