Get help from one of our Residential Computing Consultants (RCCs) using the options below. RCC support is free of charge for students.

Office Hours

For drop-in support for a variety of technical issues, bring your device and questions to RCC office hours, held at each residence hall’s Academic Center and our Moffitt Library location (just inside the main entrance).

All Berkeley students, including those not living in campus housing, can get in-person support at any of our office hours locations.

In-Person Appointments

If you live in campus housing, schedule an in-person appointment and an RCC will come to you. Log in to our Helpdesk to make an appointment or call us and an RCC will assist you.

Note: You can also use our online Helpdesk to register a device and connect it to the wired network in your room or apartment.

Phone

Call our Helpdesk at (510) 642-HELP for advice and support over the phone. Available M-F, 9am-6pm.

Email

Send us an email at helpdesk@rescomp.berkeley.edu. Include your name, email address, phone number, and room number with your message.

Web Form

Use our web form to report your issue to an RCC. For each request, please contact us using either the web form or our email addresses, not both.

Notice

If there are hardware problems with your computer, you will need to sign a liability release in order to allow an RCC to access your computer's hardware. If you are a minor (under the age of 18), you cannot sign a valid waiver and your RCC will not be able to alter or repair your hardware.
